Tide and Bloom

There’s something magical about stepping into a garden with no agenda—just an invitation to follow your senses.

At Tide and Bloom, we gather beauty right from our gardens. You’ll begin by wandering through the flower rows, possibily trailed by our chatty ducks who are just as much a part of the garden as the blooms themselves. You’ll harvest what calls to you then settle in to create your own unique arrangement.

Held on our small flower farm, Coastal Blooms, near the Bay of Fundy, this experience blends the art of floral design with the slow rhythms of the coast. A morning of noticing the textures under your fingers and the quiet joy of making something beautiful with what the garden offers.

No rush. No rules. Just hands in the flowers, good company, and the permission to play.

And best of all? You’ll leave with a renewed eye for your own garden and natural spaces. The techniques and principles you’ll explore—like layering textures, working with what’s in season, and designing with movement in mind—can be carried home and used to create beauty that speaks to your place, over and over again.

You’ll create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind arrangement during our time together—and we hope you’ll be able to enjoy it at home. But if you’re traveling and unable to bring it with you, we’d be happy to deliver your creation to Forest Dale Nursing Home, where it will be gifted to a local senior as a gesture of seasonal joy and community care. Just let us know at the end of the workshop.

What’s Included:

What to Bring

To help you feel comfortable and fully enjoy your time in the garden, here’s what we recommend:

  • Reusable water bottle – Stay hydrated as you wander and create - there will be a water station for refilling.

  • Sun protection – Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses if it's a sunny day.

  • Dress for the weather – This is an outdoor rain-or-shine experience. Light layers, boots, or a rain jacket might be just right depending on the forecast.

  • Comfortable footwear – You’ll be walking and standing in the garden, so think practical over pretty.

  • Curiosity and creativity – No need for experience—just come as you are and enjoy the slow beauty of the day.

We ask that guests arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin right on time and make the most of our experience together.
